ART BY THE FIRE
December is such a cosy month. Only 26 people remain in the village throughout the winter, and the sweet smell of burning olive wood drifts across the valley. It is the perfect month to reflect on the year just passed and to get stuck into creative projects that have been on hold or that need finishing off. As the year draws to a close, this is the perfecting time to reflect, create and plan next year's creative project.

AN AVERAGE WEEK AT THE ART BY THE FIRE RESIDENCY
MONDAY: ☀️AM: drive down to the local village market in Prinos where you will find beautiful fresh, seasonal vegetables from local small scale farmers.
Stock up for the week from the market, local fishmongers, butchers and supermarket, then finish the morning with a Greek coffee in the café with the local community.
🌜PM: Head back to house, get creative or head out for a walk around the village or into the beautiful gorge full of springs and dipping pools

December is starting to get cold. We can still have warm crisp days but the days are short, so expect to cosy around the fire with a nice cup of tea or a glass of wine in the evenings. The cats will be your best friends! Bring warm winter clothes, good hiking shoes and if you are a brave heart, why not pack your swimming costume! |
