David Willis

David entered our lives at a life changing moment on a stone age immersion course with the amazing Lynx Vilden. At the time, we were totally overwhelmed by our lack of knowledge of all things nature. Most participants were experienced bushcrafts men and women, with time spent in remote places and with indeginous tribes around the world.

David took us under his wing and showed us with great care and attention, how to safely use knives and saws, as well as encouraged us on as we attempted to gather materials to make baskets, fires and rattles. He even kept us warm when we slept out in the ancient forests of Dartmoor in -2 celcius degrees and snow. This experience and David's encouragement, prompted us to embark on a life altering path where we left the city and immersed ouselves in nature.

Currently based in the Chilterns, David teaches wilderness living skills, nature connection and woodland crafts, with activities to suit all ages, abilities and needs.

 He has served with the Royal Engineers in Belize, spent time living alongside the Maasai in the Rift Valley and learning from the Bushman of the Kalahari, motorcycled around Europe, built and paddled his canoe along British rivers, and loves heading out on adventures.
