Mark Charlton
MARK CHARLTON
Mark's work tells a narrative through abstract compositions that are made with energy and impulsive structure building. His works have been inspired by many things ranging from nature to science and the influences of time, with the latest work being made with minimalism exploring shape, balance and surface texture. The work is made with layering techniques that are constructed over time using multiple paper and paint materials that are weathered and deconstructed to leave a subtle unplanned beauty within the decay. The pieces are meant to be viewed as a nostalgic viewing platform of fragments that have been left cold and silent.
Mark was born in Margate in 1976 and currently resides and works in Shoreham-By-Sea.
